SED's quality management system is registered to ISO 9001:2008. We have been registered to ISO 9001 since 1996. The scope of the registration is the design, manufacture and integration of communications, space, aerospace and defense systems and provision of related services. The quality management system is documented in the SED Policy Manual and related procedures that allow SED to consistently provide goods and services that fully satisfy our customers' needs and meet their requirements. We are committed to the continuous improvement of the quality management system with the aim of enhancing customer satisfaction.
The SED Quality Assurance Department is headed by the Quality Assurance Manager, who reports to the President. The department includes QA specialists with extensive experience in hardware and systems engineering QA, software QA and manufacturing QA.
The QA Department is responsible for assuring that the elements of the SED quality management system are implemented as documented in company manuals and procedures. This is accomplished through regular internal audits.
The QA Department is also responsible for assuring that project teams apply the elements of the quality system as stated in project planning documents and that contractual quality requirements are satisfied. This is accomplished by assigning a QA representative to each project team.
