SED's Low-Cost Spectrum Analyzer PCI Card
Decimator is a low-cost spectrum analyzer card providing high-end perfomence at a low price. It provides accurate, fast measurements in a very small form factor. It is ideally suited to measurement of communications and broadcast carriers, as well as integration into an RF System, Satcom terminal or RF monitoring/measurement system.
Features and Benefits:
- Accurate. Calibrated amplitude accuracy of 1 dB over the full operational temperature range, 0.5 dB at room temperature.
- Fast. Decimator can measure between 2 and 6 typical communications or broadcast carriers per second, depending on user settings.
- Small. It is the smallest card (6.9 x 4.2 inches) on the market and fits in any computer or enclosure with a 1/2 size PCI slot, using the PCI slot for power only, or it can be mounted on standoffs and powered from +12/+5 Vdc.
- Wide Dynamic Range. Accepts L-band signals from 950 to 2,150 MHz and power levels from -110 to +5 dBm.
Open Interfaces. Connect to any computer using a standard Ethernet interface. The measurement data can be displayed on the web browser-based user interface (see below) or can be provided to another system or application using the publicly available API. SED's Decimator can be installed in any computer chassis with a PCI slot or in any equipment enclosure on standoffs, and can be used in a number of different applications. In standalone mode, the measurement data is displayed directly on the web browser-based user interface of any computer. By installing a couple cards in a rack-mount chassis, Decimator is ideal for Cross-Pol Isolation measurements. Decimator can also be integrated into a larger system, such as SED's Carrier and Spectrum Monitoring (CSM) System or any other application, using the publicly available API. SED's 8-port Decimator and 4-port Decimator
The 8-Port Decimator is a 1U rack-mount unit containing a Decimator card, along with an 8-Port RF switching card. The 8-Port Decimator enables low-cost spectrum measurement and analysis in a convenient form factor for installation in an equipment rack and connection to multiple feeds.
The 4-Port Decimator is the same physical unit, limited to 4 operational ports. The additional 4 ports can be enabled via a software upgrade.
Features and Benefits:
- Decimator. Uses SED's standard Decimator card, providing the same accurate, fast measurement capabilities and open interfaces.
- Multiple Inputs. Connect up to 8 L-band feeds, providing user-selectable access to all RF signals and carriers. Standard unit has 75 ohm F connectors, optionally 50 ohm SMA connectors.
- Network Centric. Connect the 8-Port Decimator to your facility LAN or WAN to provide desktop access to all technical staff worldwide.
- Small. The 1U chassis can be installed anywhere in a standard 19 inch equipment rack.

The Portable Decimator is a small hand-held enclosure containing a Decimator card. It is ideal for field technicians who require a highly portable spectrum analyzer. The Portable Decimator includes an external AC power supply that can be connected to any AC power source worldwide.
