Consider joining SED’s cable harness machine operator team. 11:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday with the option of overtime. Wage premium applies to this offset shift as well as paid lunch and coffee breaks. No experience necessary – we’ll train you!

Consider a term position working family friendly hours in the production department at SED Systems from September through to the end of May 2009. Earn $11.25 per hour assembling high quality electronic and electro-mechanical products.

Our parental hours crew works while the kids are in school. Hours are:

9:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. daily, Monday through Friday with scheduled school breaks at Christmas, February and Easter off.

You don’t need any previous experience; we’ll train you to do this challenging but rewarding work. We have a clean, bright manufacturing floor, friendly support staff and co-workers, an on-site cafeteria and even an employee games room.

Marketing & Business Development Manager

Located in Innovation Place in the beautiful City of Saskatoon, SED offers a unique opportunity for challenging work in a first class environment.

The successful applicant will join SED's Marketing and Business Development team in assessing markets, identifying opportunities, as well as pursuing and closing business in a number of SED's business areas.

Responsibilities include:

  • participating in the formulation of Business Development priorities and strategies
  • identifying and developing market opportunities
  • devising market strategies
  • pursuit and capturing activities
  • proposal preparation and follow-up of bid submissions.

The job involves significant contact with potential customers (primarily in the USA, Europe and Asia) to identify business opportunities. It involves travel to attend international trade shows and conferences each year as well as meet with potential customers.

This position requires an independent individual with strong interpersonal skills and an aptitude for business. A solid technical background is essential, ideally in electronics, communications or computer science. Marketing and business development experience is an asset.

SED offers internship, co-op, and summer positions to select university students each year.

If you are interested in an internship position and you are a third-year University of Saskatchewan student enrolled in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Physics we encourage you to register with the University of Saskatchewan Student Employment and Career Center. If you are a third-year University of Saskatchewan student majoring in Computer Science we encourage you to register with the Department of Computer Science Internship Coordinator.

If you are interested in a co-op position and you are a second-year or third-year University of Regina student enrolled in Electronic Systems Engineering or Computer Science, we encourage you to register with the University of Regina Co-operative Education office.

If you are interested in a summer position and you are a third-year student in any of the above University of Saskatchewan or University of Regina programs, we encourage you to submit an application. Applications for summer positions should be submitted by the end of February.
